The island is located between the parallels 28 and 29 north and the meridian of 16 and 17 west, slightly north of the tropic of Cancer. It is in a central position between the islands of Gran Canaria, La Gomera and La Palma.

This bench is found on the promenade in Los Christos, overlooking the Harbour. You can sit and watch the ferries coming and going to La Gomera. The bench here overlooks the new man made Playa de Las Vistas beach which was completed about ten years ago, the white sand being brought in by ship from the sahara desert.
This bench is overlooking the beach at Playa de la Arena which is black volcanic sand which reflects the island rock. A great place to view sunset over La Gomera.
