Bench providing view of the Eildon Hills from Bemersyde. This was one of Sir Walter Scott's favourite views of his beloved borderland. In the foreground the River Tweed flows past.
How to get there:
By car: From the B6404, St. Boswells to Kelso road, turn off along the B6356 road signposted Dryburgh Abbey. About one mile along this road is a junction signposted for Scott's View to the right. Follow this road for about two miles. Locate bench on detailed map

Access: Good access from the road - car parking available.
Unusual features or other information: The story is told that the horse pulling the hearse stopped at this spot when taking Sir Walter Scott to his internment in Dryburgh Abbey, as it had many times during Scott's life.
