Bench at Thorncombe Beacon, Dorset - ref. VFB_0007
A very basic wooden bench situated at one of the highest points on the South Coast. Spectacular views both westwards towards Seatown and eastwards towards Eype. Pretty steep climb both ways.
How to get there:
From Bridport, take the A35 towards Lyme Regis. At the village of Chideock, take the road towards the coast signposted Seatown, follow this road for about one mile until you come to the car park. The bench is about 1.5 miles along the coastal path towards the east.

Amenities: National Trust tea shop, Down House is a short walk from the beacon.
Access: Not suitable for disabled users or very young children.
Unusual features or other information: Has a real beacon which is lit on special occasions.
