How to get there: The Isles of Scilly are located about 28 miles off mainland UK south west of Penzance, Cornwall. There are five inhabited islands, the largest of which is St. Mary's. You can get there by air (fixed-wing) from a number of regional airports or by helicopter from Penzance. You can also go by sea on the Scillonian III ferry from Penzance. There are regular ferries that operate between the main islands. Locate St. Mary's on detailed map here
Amenities: Good tea shops and restaurants located around the islands.
Access: Good access by footpaths although some of the coastal path routes are quite rough and not suitable for disabled people or children in pushchairs.
Unusual features or other information: Very beautiful and unspoilt islands which are great for walking, wildlife spotting and relaxing.
