Viewing point at Cerne Abbas (Dorset) - ref. VFB_0021
A conveniently placed basic wooden bench which provides a good view of the 'Giant of Cerne Abbas' which is a large (180 feet high) image of a man carved in the chalk hillside. In 2007, to commemorate the release of the 'Simpsons' movie, some joker has painted a large Homer Simpson in the field next to the original giant. This has upset a few people - what do you think about it?
How to get there:
Cerne Abbas is a small village situated in Dorset, just off the A352 between Dorchester and Sherborne. There is parking available within the village and a short walk to the best viewing spot.

Access: Pretty good access the village and a good viewing point just off the main road.
