Rumps Point near Polzeath, Cornwall - ref. VFB_0034
A basic bench on the SW coastal just north of Polzeath, with great views of Rumps Point.
How to get there:
Polzeath is a popular surfing beach on the North Cornwall coast about 6 miles north west of Camelford. From the A30 take the A389 into Bodmin then onto Wadebridge and then take the B3314 following signs to Polzeath. There is car parking within Polzeath (although it gets very busy in the summer) and it's fairly easy to join the South West coastal path from Polzeath. Take the coastal path north from Polzeath and you will enjoy some great views. Locate the bench on detailed map
here
Amenities: None.
Access: The coastal path is a bit uneven in places and care needs to be taken.
Unusual features or other information: There is a plaque nearby with an inscription of the well known words which are used at Remembrance services. Apparently these words were composed by Laurence Binyon on these cliffs.
