Giant's Chair, Forest of Dean - ref. VFB_0070
A large sculpture, called 'The Place' looking like a giant's chair or throne.
How to get there:
The Royal Forest of Dean is situated on the English/Welsh border about 35 miles north of Bristol. The sculpture trail is a marked out walk of around 4 miles and takes you through the forest to visit each of the sculptures. 'The Place', towering at over 15 feet high is right at the beginning of the trail with beautiful views over the forest.
The sculpture trail begins at Beechenhurst Lodge which is located on the B4226 Coleford to Cinderford Rd, 500m east of the junction with the B4234 Lydney to Lydbrook Rd.

Amenities: Beechenhurst lodge has a car park, picnic/play area and toilets.
Access: The sculpture trail is a well maintained path but still reasonably steep up to the Giants Chair.
