Culmstock Beacon, Blackdown Hills, Devon - ref. VFB_0091
An unusual modern design wooden bench, with interesting carving on the back.
How to get there: Culmstock is a very pretty village in the river Culm valley, nestling below the southern slopes of the Blackdown Hills. From junction 27 of the M5 take the A38 north towards Wellington. After about 3 miles, turn right onto the B3391 towards Culmstock and Hemyock. Follow this into the village of Culmstock after about 2 miles. Culmstock Beacon is found by following the waymarked path from Culmstock, past the radio mast at top of track. Amenities: Very nice pub, Culm Valley Inn, approximately 1.5 miles from the beacon.
Access: Steep walk but mostly on good paths.
