Views from Criccieth, N.Wales - ref. VFB_0094
A couple of great bench views from Criccieth, North Wales. There are a number of benches located around the sea side town of Criccieth near the lifeboat station and many benches surrounding the old castle at the top of the town.
How to get there:
Criccieth is a lovely historic town located on the southern coast of the Llyn Peninsular in North West Wales about 10 miles south of Snowdon. From Caenarfon, take the A487 south to Porthmadog then take the A497 into Criccieth. Locate Criccieth on detailed map
here
Amenities: Tea shops a plenty in Criccieth but I would highly recommend the Cadwaladers ice cream shop just down from the castle. AMAZING..
Access: The town is pretty hilly. You need to walk to the castle but it is worth the climb.
Unusual features or other information: Criccieth castle is a brilliant but somewhat derelict 13th century castle at the top of the town. It offers amazing views over the town itself as well at the surrounding bays. It is however pretty exposed so take a coat!
